Skye and Lochalsh Arts & Crafts Association (SLACA) has been representing, supporting, and promoting artists and crafts people living and/or working creatively in the Skye and Lochalsh area of the Scottish Highlands, since it began almost 40 years ago.
The beautiful Skye and Lochalsh area has a long association with creativity. From the Mesolithic and Iron Age inhabitants who left behind evidence of stone carving and metalwork, to a legacy of Gaelic song and weaving traditions, it is an area rich in cultural heritage.
It is no surprise that many artists and makers have either chosen to make this inspirational place their home. Our amazing membership includes painters, photographers, weavers, knitters, jewellery designers, spinners, textile artists, printmakers, ceramic artists, and sculptors.
As a not-for-profit group, Skye and Lochalsh Arts & Crafts Association is run by, and for, the members.
